The film became a critical and commercial success, grossing over $1.1 billion worldwide, making it the highest-grossing film of 2016 and, at the time, the 12th-highest-grossing film ever.

According to the producer, Kevin Feige, "Civil War" is the conclusion of the Captain America trilogy that began with "The First Avenger".

The answer to this one depends entirely on what source you use. "ROGUR ONE" which you don't list, is tops on several lists."Finding Dory" also tops the list from some sources. PLEASE give questions that have definitive answers to be FAIR.

If the question asks "highest grossing film of 2016" that means worldwide, even if you believe that people outside the U.S. don't watch movies. Unless you can show where "Finding Dory" or "Rogue One" had higher grosses worldwide in 2016, you have no argument. Finding a list of how many tickets sales, how many concessions the theater sold, or how many ferrets named Herman saw the movie does not change the highest grossing film list.

Finding Dory! I thought this was SPG's specialist area and, at least, even though these questions are utterly boring, tedious and repetitive, SPG is accurate.

If the question leaves out the USA or UK or any other country then one is to assume or extrapolate it is worldwide. Several sources I just checked have Captain America Civil War and since the year is being quoted, money grossed within 2016 not since it's release. Honestly, I just don't understand some of the comments sometimes. Do people on here do trivia just to nitpick?
