What was the name of Pat Brady's jeep on the Roy Rogers show?
The Double R Ranch featured "The king of the cowboys" Roy Rogers, his "Smartest Horse in the movies" Trigger, "Queen of the West" Dale Evans, her horse Buttermilk, their dog Bullet, and Pat Brady with his Jeep. Pat Brady played a comical side kick to Roy on the Roy Rogers show. Choosing to drive a Willys CJ 2 jeep instead of a horse, he was able to travel most places that a man on horseback could. Pat was just one of the cast members that added a lot of color to the show which featured famous cowboy Roy Rogers and his wife Dale Evans saving the Wild West from nefarious outlaws every Saturday on Television.

Talk about memories. That name brings me back to the Roy Rogers show 1951-1957. My brother had Roy Rogers fake guns and he and went around playing cowboys and Indians
which is politically incorrect. Never visited the Roy Rogers museum in Apple Valley but Roy and Dale are buried there. Loved the sons of the pioneers too. My brother was a 12 1/2 months older than me but we loved superman, Roy rogers, howdy doody and all those wonderful black and white shows in the 1950's. My mom worked at Sears and she waited on a lot of Celebrities and one of them was Dale Evans. San Fernando Valley just outside of Los Angeles. Wish we could go back to those days.

Nicholas Miernicki, I also have seen my share of Roy and Dale. It made recall of Nellybelle immediate. I always preferred the Lone Ranger and the Cisco Kid (and have missed seeing any of the Cisco Kid in reruns). As to the the frame of Pat Brady, I assumed he showed up in the years when the "wild west" was simmering down into modern times.

Knew this one because I watched the show as a kid, even though I was more a fan of the Cisco Kid and the Lone Ranger shows. As one commenter states, the Roy Rogers show was in the weird time melding of the late 19th and mid-20th centuries. Most people's mode of conveyance was horseback, but, some had vehicles. They used what were then modern telephones, but, they might also send a telegraph message to a nearby town. Even as a child, I thought it was all very strange.

It was weird how the show treated time. It was as if ry and dale and the bad guys had been sent forward in time only they didn't know it. Roy sees nellybelle and thinks the velocipede is nothing special. Pat isn't phased by Roys outfit nor Roy's cowboy Antics and crime fighting. It was Roy into the future not Pat into the past. The reason? Nelliebelle needed gasoline. Or perhaps the show was Roy having a dream?
