Producers of the TV show have stated the band was genuine, albeit obscure. Apart from what is mentioned in the show, there was no evidence this band had existed. A band’s album was seen, along with posters in various episodes, and mentioned by name as well.
“Lost” is a science fiction, adventure drama show that aired on ABC. The show is set on an unknown island in the South Pacific Ocean after a commercial airliner (Oceanic Airlines Flight 815) crashes with several survivors attempting to live on the island and find a way off, and struggle against a mysterious group of people, referred to as “The Others” (some of the original occupants of the island).
