When did the Apple iPhone first become available?
Initially priced at US $599 and US $499 for the 8GB and 4GB models, the iPhone went on sale on June 29, 2007. Apple closed its stores at 2:00pm local time to prepare for the 6:00pm iPhone launch, while hundreds of customers lined up at stores nationwide.
What are your thoughts on this subject?

When I finally got a mobile phone in 2017, my son hooked me up with an android phone. We've never owned any Apple products. I wanted it primarily as an emergency phone, and it has become a handy way to get online even when I'm not home.

Pierre Poirier, agree to disagree. Work forced me to use an iPhone and they are the antithesis of intuitive. You get what they have. If I were to need an app for my android that didn't exist, I could create one. Open-source android even allows a different OS. Can't even change your font.

went from a confusing frustrating HTC to an iphone 3 back in 2009 (I think). Never looked back. The easiest and most functional phone ever.

I’ve had 4 iPhones now, my present one is iPhone 13. I like Apple’s style of design and operating system. Everyone has their own taste, for me it’s Apple. By the way, comments about slave labour, does anyone really believe other outsourced companies operate differently to the ones assembling iPhones? All companies like Apple, Samsung and others can do is try to use their buying power to influence standards.
