Where did Babe Ruth hit his 700th home run?
On July 13, 1934 Babe Ruth hit his 700th home run in a 4-2 victory over Tommy Bridges and the Tigers. The shot ,a 370' shot, cleared the right-field wall in Briggs Stadium and rolled several hundred feet down a street leading to the stadium.
Briggs Stadium was the home of the Detroit Tigers from 1912 until 1999. The last game played at the Stadium was in September, 1999.
In 2009, the structure was demolished, although the actual playing field still remains.

Maybe it was originally Briggs Stadium, but as far back as I can remember (1968) it was called Tiger Stadium.

Known as Navin Field at the time, not Briggs, to which it was renamed in 1935, a year after Babe hit the homer.

Think it was called Navin Field at the time so the answers shown here threw me. Was renamed Briggs Stadium in 1935
