The Wall of Love (French: Le mur des je t'aime, the I Love You Wall) is a love themed 40 square meters (430 sq ft) wall in the Jehan Rictus garden square in Montmartre, Paris, France. When you look at the wall, it has the words “I Love You” written on it in 311 different dialects, and they are scattered across 612 embossed tiles which make up the wall.

Regarding the creator of the Le mur des je t’aime (The Wall of Love), he was Frederic Baron. In 1992 he started collecting over 1000 different ways to write the well known worlds “I love you”. History shows us that he filled three large notebooks with the special expression. These books were from many different people; they lived in Paris using over 300 different languages. From his work, Baron went on to create the “The Book of I Love Yous”(1998). Over 50,000 copies were distributed within France.

In books and else where (movies, TV, paintings, music, etc.), it is clear that the idea of love plays an enormous and unavoidable role in the society. It seems to make life much more pleasant when people treat each other with love. People tend to respect each other; they tend not to argue, fuss or fight.
