This monument is called Qutb Minar and it is one of the most popular tourist destinations of New Delhi. This is the highest minaret made of brick in the world. Its height is 72.6 meters, the diameter of the base and of the upper part is correspondingly 14.74 and 3.05 meters.

The minaret was built for almost two centuries from 1193 to 1368 by several generations of Muslim rulers of India.

The minaret is the central construction of the Qutb Complex, which contains many other buildings and constructions of various epochs. It was designated the World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Thousands of people visit this place every year to see the famous complex and to mount the spiral staircase of the minaret.
