Which country has had the longest ruling family?

In Bulgaria, the House of Dulo or Dulo Clan reigned from 2137 BC until 753 AD, ruling the early Bulgars for 2,890 years. The Kubrat clan founded the dynasty, which brought about the unification of the Bulgar tribes.

Japan is second, the Imperial House of Japan has been ruling the country from 660 BCE until today. Known as the Chrysanthemum Throne or Yamato Dynasty, it has continuously reigned for more than 2,669 years. The current monarch is Emperor Akihito.

This question is not correct - the Dulo Clan did not exist until 632 and were considered descendants of Attila the Hun

Poor source, one that does not use citations in its ranking. There are no recorded sources for that 2137 BC claim, just lots of websites, blogs, and forums that repeat the unsourced information in the link the question writer used. Derrick Johnston, Also agree. A quick reading of the question, with "has" as the main verb, leads a reader to think of current dynasties. Furthermore, that (legendary) kingdom was not in Bulgaria. If it existed, it was in what we call the Ukraine.
