Kuwait has a network of more than 4400 sites across six countries in Europe, marketed through a subsidiary company of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, namely Q8. It is a state run organisation and Nizar Mohammad Al Asani was appointed CEO in May 2013. The UK side of the business, over 200 sites, was sold off in 2004 and it's UK operations have since been phased out.

It owns the 3rd largest filling station in the world and biggest in Europe on the motorway network in Luxembourg. It also has its own refinery in Europort, Rotterdam, Netherlands and sells its crude oil to third parties, mainly in Asia, at $3.95 / barrel under the regional average since 2000. According to Bloomberg in 2014, Saudi Arabia and Iraq, both OPEC members, decided to reduce their price / barrel in order to defend their market share.

The company logo has been updated during the company's 38 year existence but has always displayed the sail shape, alongside a large blue Q8, not shown in the picture, for obvious reasons.
