Which NBA team has the most regular season wins (not including the current season)?
The 1996 Chicago Bulls led by Michael Jordan are the best in NBA history with 72 victories and the 1972 Lakers with Jerry West and Wilt Chamberlain on their roster are second with 69 victories that included an NBA record 33-game winning streak.
The Chicago Bulls went on to win their 4th NBA title in 1996 after posting the best NBA regular season record to this point (Golden State has a chance to beat the record this year).
The Chicago Bulls have won 6 NBA titles, they won 3 titles in a row from 1991 thru 1993. Chicago again won 3 titles in a row (when Michael Jordan came back from his first retirement). The Bulls achieved their "repeat three-peat" after winning the 1996 thru 1998 NBA titles.

It was confusing. If it's one season then the 2015-16 San Francisco Warriors hold the record with 73 victories during the regular season.
