Which nursery rhyme character cut off the tails of the three blind mice?
The first written variation of Three Blind Mice dates from 1609. The three blind mice were three Protestant loyalists who were accused of plotting against Queen Mary I. The farmer’s wife refers to the queen who with her husband, King Philip of Spain, owned large estates. The three men were burned at the stake.

The modern words are:

Rita Delfing, Most stem from Mary Queen of Scotland and Elizabeth 1, between the Catholics and Protestants. A lot of double meanings relating to the Catholic Mass, etc, also the 12 days of Christmas is another that has double meaning. Really interesting to learn about a lot of the nursery rhymes and Christmas songs.

Marlene Van, But when Three Blind Mice is played after a close call, sometimes the Organist is ejected. LOL. I have been at a minor league game when it happened.

In Minor league baseball, where there are usually three umpires, rather than the four in the big league, the ballpark organist would often play "Three Blind Mice " before the game.
