Which organisation is known as the RCMP?
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (French: Gendarmerie royale du Canada, "Royal Gendarmerie of Canada") is colloquially known as the Mounties, and internally as "the Force". The RCMP provides law enforcement at a federal level in Canada, and also on a contract basis to the three territories, eight of Canada's provinces (the RCMP does not provide provincial or municipal policing in either Ontario or Quebec), more than 150 municipalities, 600 aboriginal communities, and three international airports. In Canada and U.K. That is how they spell organisation , according to my husband ... But in the U.S. And in my country we spell it organization ... Interesting ~

Sandy Ward Sparks, that's the "British" spelling, often used in England, Canada, Australia, etc.. They spell many words differently than we do. Other examples are "colour" vs our "color," "aeroplane" vs our "airplane," and "cheque" vs
our "check."

Organisation is the correct spelling. America chose to simplify the English language, dropping the u from words such as colour and changing the end of words from re to er. Doesn't make them correct!

Marsha Barton, Actually, I think that it was you guys who simplified spelling of some words. Like dropping the u from colour, and spelling theater that way instead of the UK theatre. Australia and NZ use the English spelling and probably most of the Commonwealth.
