Academy Award-winning actress Whoopi Goldberg starred as Guinan in "Star Trek: The Next Generation". She was a recurring guest star. She played the hyper-sensed El-Aurian hostess of "Ten-Forward," the ship's bar/lounge social spot.

Whoopi Goldberg (born November 1955) is the person who portrayed Guinan on various occasions from Season 2 through Season 6 of "Star Trek: The Next Generation". She also appeared uncredited as Guinan in the motion pictures "Star Trek Generations" and "Star Trek Nemesis". She earned a Saturn Award nomination as Best Supporting Actress from the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films for her appearance in the film "Generations".
