Which sea creature evaporates in the sun?

When jellyfish are in the water, they can be a bit intimidating. Their tentacles can pack a painful electrical shock. However, once they wash up on shore, they are anything but intimidating.

It turns out that jellyfish are 98% water. Most are transparent and bell-shaped. If they end up on the beach, they will most likely evaporate in a few hours and mostly disappear.

Jellyfish do not have an "electrical shock" in their sting. They inject venom from millions of nematocysts in their tentacles. Some jelly fish, such as the Irukandji, have venom powerful enough to kill humans. Having a reference associated with this question might have helped with the factual accuracy.

All can dehydrate in the sun. Jellyfish possess cnidocytes but NO electrical shock.

I will tell my nearest persons on beach coz they burry it in sand but seems better to put it to dry and purish in the sun

Don't know if just some evaporate but I do know that here in NZ if we step on one out of the water you will have a very painful foot

I'm from Germany and we lived on the Baltic Sea near Travemünde. There are 2 kinds of jelly fish - red and blue. The harmless blue qualle do not sting and wash up to shore. There they dry up like the wicked witch in Wizard of Oz. The stinging red qualle out in deep water certainly do have an electrical shock. I jumped off the marlin board at 8 years old straight into the middle of a school of jellyfish, and they repeatedly stung me!
