In 1994, Pierce Brosnan became the fifth actor to portray secret agent James Bond in the Eon Productions film series, starring in four films from 1995 to 2002 (GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day).

Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films between 1962 and 1983.
