Which U. S. President has been married the most times?
Donald J. Trump, the 45th President of the United States, is the first president to have been married three times and the only president to have done so.
Trump married his first wife, a Czechoslovakia-born model name Ivana Zelníčková, in 1977. During their 15-year marriage, the pair raised three children: Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric Trump. They divorced in 1992.
Three years after his divorce from his first wife, Trump's girlfriend, American-born Marla Maples, gave birth to the couple's only child together in 1993, Tiffany (named after "Tiffany & Co"). Trump and Maples wed two months later. The couple split in 1997, which prompted Maples to move with her daughter from New York to California. There she raised Tiffany alone, arranging visits between her and her father "a couple times a year" to eat dinner following their finalized divorce in 1999.
Trump and his third wife, Melania Knauss, first met at a Fashion Week party in the late 1990s, allegedly while he was still married to Maples. The two would go on to later become engaged in 2004 and married the following year, welcoming their son Barron in 2006 shortly after.
The only other U.S. Presidents to have been married twice are John Tyler, Millard Fillmore, Woodrow Wilson, and Ronald Reagan.
