Which US city is popularly known as the 'City of the Golden Gate' ?
San Francisco is known for its hilly landscape, cable cars, beautiful Victorian houses, year-round fog and iconic Golden Gate Bridge. This suspension bridge spans the strait of the same name and connects San Francisco with Marin County. Today, the bridge is considered a world famous landmark.
This might be interesting: The construction of the bridge began in 1933. Many people did not believe it was technically possible to built a bridge that would span the Golden Gate. When the bridge was finally completed in 1937, it was the world's longest suspension bridge. It took four years and 35 million dollars to complete this technical masterpiece.

I heard that people died trying to get the bridge built. It's sad to think of that--but the bridge is gorgeous.

My 11 year old Son and I walked across the GGBridge and back in 2005 just to say we did it! He's almost 26 now.

It's really scary with the Golden Gate Bridge. I DON'T or WON'T go over that one. All these bridges in such bad conditions. Most of them needs to be replaced.😣
