Mary, Queen of Scots (8 December, 1542 – 8 February, 1587), also known as Mary Stuart or Mary I of Scotland, reigned over Scotland from 14 December, 1542 to 24 July, 1567.

Mary was convicted on 25 October, 1586 and sentenced to death after being implicated in the Babington Plot. This was a plot to assassinate Queen Elizabeth I in 1586. Mary was executed at Fotheringhay Castle on 8 February, 1587.

Richard was born on 2 October 1452 at Fotheringhay Castle, the twelfth of thirteen children of Richard Plantagenet, 3rd Duke of York. He became King Richard III on 26 June, 1483 after the death of Edward IV.

Lady Jane Grey, Anne Boleyn and Katherine Howard were all executed at the Tower of London.
