Who changed the name of the month of September to Germanicus?

September was the 7th month in the Roman calendar: word septem from the Latin means "seven". Caligula (Gaius Julius Caesar Augustus Germanicus) renamed the month Germanicus after his father Germanicus Caesar. Anyway, the new name lived for a very short time: after Caligula's assassination in 41 the month got his old name back.

I knew it was much earlier than the other three and that it had something to do with the Romans, so I went for Caligula

Process of elimination. If it had been Hitler or Musdolini, i would have heard or read about it . Why would an English King name a month for a foreign country. That left Caligula, who had Germania as part of his empire

No! Misleading question. The name 'September' did not exist at the time of Caligula. The question should have read "ninth month" instead of September.
