W. H. Taft was the 27th President of the United States. He was chief executive from 1909-1913. After leaving the presidency he took a position teaching law at Yale University, and was later appointed Chief Justice of The Supreme Court by President Warren G. Harding in 1921. He died in 1930, and was buried in Arlington National Cemetery. Taft was both the first president, and the first supreme court justice to be buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
