This is a rare photograph of Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin.

Christopher was the son of A.A. Milne, who was writer and later a playwright, born on August 21, 1920.

Winnie the Pooh is a combination of a bear in the London Zoo named Winnie, and a swan name Pooh, Christopher's favorite animals at the zoo.

The tale of Winnie the Pooh was first mentioned in Milne's book of children's poems, "When We Were Young, Winnie."

Before he passed away he gave Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore and Tigger, the original toys. to the editor of the Pooh books, who in turn donated them to New York Public Library in 1987.

They have been on display ever since.

Christopher Robin Milne passed away in 1996 at the age of 75.

So he purchased it for his wife, Brenda for Christmas.The couple were living near Paddington Station at the time, so Bond named the bear Paddington and started to write stories about it. Within 10 days, he had a book, and the rest is history.

Jeremy Clarkson and his sister were the first to own a production Paddington Bear for Christmas.
