Joyce Randolph is the last living member of The Honeymooners. Of Finnish decent, she was born as Joyce Sirola on October 21, 1924 in Detroit, Michigan. She moved to New York City in 1943 to pursue an acting career. She found work on Broadway and several commercials. During one of these commercials, she gained the attention of Jackie Gleason. Randolph performed on Gleason's Cavalcade of Stars(1951-1955). The Honeymooners debuted as a skit on this show and proved widely popular.

Elaine Stritch, however, was the first to play Ed Norton's wife, Trixie. Moreover she was depicted as a former burlesque dancer. She was replaced shortly afterwards by Joyce Randolph, bringing a more wholesome and slightly prudish approach to the character. The Honeymooners premiered on October 1, 1955 and ran to September 22, 1956. This single season is called the "Classic 39." Randolph' beauty was certainly noted as she was described as "The Garbo of Detroit" by critics.

Randolph married Richard Lincoln Charles in 1955, with whom she had one son. After The Honeymooners, she limited her acting roles, even skipping revivals of the show. As of 2003, when Art Carney passed away, she is the last survivor of the show. She is gracious to those who seek her autograph or a few words with her about the Classic 39.
