Daisy, the beloved dog of Blondie and Dagwood Bumstead is the oldest pet in syndicated comics today, in fact, she is over 80 years old!

Blondie is an American comic strip that was created by Chic Young and first appeared in syndication in 1930 as part of King Features comics. The Blondie strip revolves around Blondie and Dagwood Bumstead, their two children, Alexander and Cookie and their family Dog Daisy. Daisy has been a feature of the Blondie Comics since 1933 and even had a litter of puppies in the strip. She is Dagwood's dog and frequently responds to Dagwood's moods and actions. She is, however, often confused by her master and doesn't really know how to respond to his antics.

Sandy from Little orphan Annie preceded Daisy by nearly a decade, but Little Orphan Annie ceased production in 2010. Garfield premiered in 1978 and Snoopy premiered in Peanuts in 1950.
