Joyce Dewitt (1949-) is an American actress who played Janet Wood in the sitcom "Three's Company". Her career began in plays and commercials in the early 1970s and she got her big break on the hit TV show in 1977. Of the main cast members, Dewitt and John Ritter are the only two who were on the show during the entire run from 1977 until 1984.

The premise of the show involved one guy living with two women in an apartment during the 1970s. In order to make this work, the characters duped their landlord into thinking Ritter's character was gay. The sitcom was a mid-season replacement as it debuted in March of 1977. The original cast included Dewitt, Ritter, Suzanne Somers, Norman Fell and Audra Lindley.

After the show ended, Dewitt took a hiatus from acting and would appear in a few cameo roles on various television shows. In 2003, Dewitt was the host and co-producer of Behind the Camera: The Unauthorized Story of Three's Company.
