Who played the mother of Martin Riggs' child in the "Lethal Weapon" movie franchise?

Actress Rene Russo, played Lorna Cole, a sergeant in the Los Angeles Police Department's Internal Affairs Division. She was introduced in "Lethal Weapon 3" and gave birth to a son with Sergeant Martin Riggs (Mel Gibson's iconic character) in "Lethal Weapon 4".

Russo, 64, was a fashion model in the 1970s before making her film debut in the 1989 comedy "Major League". She has gone on to star in many action, thriller and comedy films including "Tin Cup", "In The Line of Fire", "Outbreak", "Get Shorty" and "The Thomas Crown Affair."
