Who scored the goal that settled the 1979 FA Cup Final at Wembley?

Alan Sunderland scored the goal that settled what was, for the first 85 minutes, a rather dour FA Cup Final. With Arsenal 2-0 up from goals by Brian Talbot & Frank Stapleton and seemingly going on to comfortably win the match, Gordon McQueen and then Sammy McIlroy scored two goals to make the game equal again. In the 89th minute, Sunderland latched on to a cross from Graham Rix and beat Arthur Albiston to the ball to poke it into the net.

Spike Holmes, Mark Wright did the same in 1992 as Liverpool Captain as he lifted the cup. That one was much more obvious, though. In front of Royalty, too.🤔😂

I remember this happening although not a fan of either team. I had backed the gooners to win 2-0 which looked on until the late comeback by utd. Ironic that as a Boro lad I was cheering a Sunderland goal at the end.
