Who was the first man to climb all of the Seven Summits (highest mountain peaks on each of the 7 continents) according to the Messner list?
The first person to successfully climb the "Seven Summits" – the highest peaks on all seven continents, according to the Messner list (the Carstensz-Version), which recognizes the highest point in Oceania as being Puncak Jaya in Indonesia, as opposed to the Bass list, which instead states Mount Kosciuszko in New South Wales, Australia – was Patrick Morrow (a Canadian photographer and mountain climber) who completed the last climb, Puncak Jaya, Indonesia (Oceania), on August 5, 1986. Morrow is the man who finally climbed the Seven Summits and also Mount Kosciuszko.
