Carly Simon was married to James Taylor from 1972 - 1983. Simon and Taylor separated in 1981 and their divorce was final in 1983. They had two children together, Sarah Maria Taylor and Benjamin Simon Taylor. During their marriage they would guest on each others albums and recorded two hit singles as a duet. Both hits were covers of previously recorded songs: "Mockingbird" originally sung by Charlie & Inez Foxx, and "Devoted to You" originally sung by The Everly Brothers. Carly Simon had 13 top 40 hits including "You're So Vain", "Nobody Does It Better" and "You Belong To Me."

James Taylor made a great movie with Brian Wilson of the “Beach Boys”: Two Lane Black Top. Funny thing, I’ve never known a “Motörhead” who was so compulsive about adjusting the jets on his carburetor. I would have gotten “ a fuel injection unit for that ‘55 Chevy. Or “three twos” a “six pack” or a different cam and “ four twos”.
