Rita Lawrence Edwards Meneses, I'd be OK as long as I had a reliable vehicle to get out to the grocery and drug stores. My cousin used to live up here in B.C. in a town that was completely closed off in the winter. You couldn't drive in or out, and there was only a small plane in and out once a week. Now THAT'S remote. Too remote for me, for sure. I'd love the seclusion.

Problem is that at my age I need easy access to medics and food supplies, much as I would have liked to live in a cabin in my youth (but then I needed to work), I now need to live nearer to facilities - I used to live near the countryside but they keep building around me so now it is concrete jungle (apart from my garden which is a jungle - there needs to be somewhere for wildlife!)
