6 problems caused by global warming

Changes in our climate serve as an inspiration for disaster movies. However, in reality the fate of our planet is very similar to film scripts. Here is the list of possible problems that can be triggered by the climate change.

And what about you? How does it strike you? Do you have any thoughts or ideas to share ? You are welcome to do so in the comments below!

The climate of the Earth has been changing for the last 4 1/2 BILLION years.

Peter Kubler, Jane Berkley, Evelyn Dania Cooke, Gary McLean, Maureen Campbell, CharlesB, clpilot, It's now called "climate change" instead of "global warming" so that uneducated science deniers can understand what is actually happening. Did you not understand any of the facts presented to you in this piece? The changes are real and measurable. There are more hothouse gases in our atmosphere than ever before and temperature fluctuations are off the chart 3 or 4 fold compared to fluctations in the past. You cannot feel the warming as much in the atmosphere because the real change is occurring in our oceans, which cover 70% of the planet. Fish and coral, sensitive to temperature changes are dying off. Haven't you heard yet about reef bleaching? Because the oceans are measurably warmer, evaporation is more intense, creating more powerful hurricanes and rainstorms which then creates greater flooding. There is more snow for the same reason. Because the upper layers of the atmosphere are more saturated, precipitation in winter results in more snow instead of more rain. It doesn't mean the earth is cooling because we get more snow in the winter. We know from satellite imagery that the polar caps are shrinking. In the Arctic the ice ebbs in summer, then grows in the winter, but it does not return to the previous year's level. Each year for the last 50 years, the amount of ice has been dramatically shrinking. Polar bear migration has born this out. In recent years, northern regions have seen polar bears moving farther south, invading human settlements. Even more frightening is the melting of the enormous ice shelf in Antarctica. By the way, coastal cities are endangered. Venice, Italy has had to build ocean levies to prevent the increasing flooding this centuries old city has faced in the 20th and 21st centuries like never before. Yes, Gore was right. Because admitting the truth in inconvenient, you would rather selfishly live in a fantasy world and deny the truth, blithely ignoring the hellish world you are leaving your children and your grandchildren.

There is no scientific data and evidence that there are more floods, fires or natural disasters occurring nowadays. In the 1970's the cold weather associated with the Polar Vortex was spruiked to be a sign and associated with Global Cooling. Global Warming is the biggest scam ever perpetrated on the population in order to levy taxes. What do you think happens to the money countries have paid the UN for the Paris Agreement. Has that made a difference to the WEATHER?

Rachel Bonney, I agree.... I feel sorry for the kids being born now for when they are grandparents their grandkids will suffer greatly. Connie Tiel Schoppe and Eric Brown and others who share the same ideas; that don't believe in global warming being caused by humans, you obviously don't read much, other than the political aspect of it. I do understand that there is climate change, but global warming is not natural. When the last ice age ended, The Pleistocene Epochended about 2.6 million years ago and lasted until about 11,700 years ago. It took tens of thousands of years to recede as far as it did. What is happening now, has been going on what, how many years,40, 50 at most a 100. You think that because the earth's climate changes naturally (due to any number of cyclic factors, including solar cycles, La Nina, variations in the earth's orbit/tilt) that it can't also change due to human activity? Why would one exclude the other? This continues to be the single worst argument that climate change deniers come up with... that somehow the existence of natural variability means that human-induced climate change cannot exist. It's a completely illogical argument! The sad part is even if we stopped everything causing global warming it would take a few thousand years for the earth to replenish itself... I doubt that is going to happen. How many have seen Mad Max..... Maybe Water World...

Frankly, I am wondering why QuizzClub is even publishing anything about this. I do QuizzClub to answer questions and learn some new stuff. This is not even proven science and the many people who believe this are countered by those that don't. Keep QuizzClub neutral where it belongs and don't get political!

Yes, the climate is changing. Yes, it has done so for billions of years. Yes, mankind has little if anything to do with it. Geological records prove that the planet has been considerably warmer and colder than it is now, long before humans populated the earth. In my view, anyone who seriously believes that puny mankind is stronger than the forces of nature, needs a reality check.

Derrick Beggs, don't you think maybe wildfires have been around long before humans. Crocodiles in the Sahara? Michigan was covered by a shallow tropical sea at one time. Maybe there were sharks and flamingos, too.c

There's no doubt the planet's climate changes. I mean, the Sahara is scheduled to be wet again. So which do you think more likely? Thousands of scientists decided to waste their lives creating a united, global scare tactic for no reason or are increased CO2 emissions the reason my city keeps getting hotter and wetter, like the scientists predicted?

Wow! This little read could scare a person to death. I really need to live so,... I can't think about this information today. I'll just wait until it happens. Since we all see it happening and don't believe it. What good did it do to read it.

This has nothing to do with science. It is called seasonal weather and earthy events global warming is a scam made up to scare people and make others rich.

Too many people on earth. We ALL have to do our part to save what is left of our planet. Although with naysayers like Trump, we are in for a difficult task.

Unfortunately human ingenuity is constantly frustrated by human stupidity. Of course the climate is changing, and always has done, but to pretend that the world's ever increasing population (consumers to business) has no impact has to be the ultimate act of stupidity and will no doubt hasten the end of humanity. Not that I will care.
