Thanks for that, I've just spent the last hour crying and can agree that these seem to be very true, from what I can tell.

Man, but have cried a number of times over the years, usually when I've been having a breakdown, thankfully there are medicines which help!

When I was a child we weren't allowed to cry. If we did our Dad would tell us to stop or he would give us something to cry about. He thought crying was a sign of weakness. To this day I don't cry except when I'm home alone watching a movie & there is a sad scene, especially if it involves children or animals. I remember holding it in until I felt like I would burst so I believe you should cry. Now I don't care to be around woman who cry constantly. You know, the ones who cry at the drop of a hat. While raisi,g my daughter if there was a real reason to cry, I'd tell her to cry because it would make her feel better. So yes, I believe there is some truth to this.

Irma Rivera, It is a problem, my wife died but since then I find it hard to get emotional about anything until it gets too much and I have a breakdown.

Irma Rivera, Hello Irma. I suffer from depression and anxiety. For years I hardly cried but since I left home I have cried way more! The thing that has helped me a lot is going to counselling because that has lifted away some of my underlying anger that I didn't know I had and I'm now able to deal with lots more. I'm currently going through some friend issues and cried buckets yesterday because of this. I have a small amount of counselling going on just now so I can untangle some of the issues that I am causing others. I have found that I unravel one string of emotion right down to when I was small and then another one starts to unravel all the way back but it seems to me that my strings of emotion don't unravel all at once or none of us would cope because it would be just too much! From my experience, I can say that unravelling all the stuck emotions has really helped me to get lots better so can I urge you to seek some counselling to start that process if you can afford it. I'd love to be going more but I just can't afford to. xx
