As of 2020, where is the world's highest running petrol pump and retail outlet situated?

The world's highest petrol pump and Retail Outlet is situated at an altitude of 3,740 meters (12,270 ft) above mean sea level in Kaza, the head quarters of Spiti division of Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh, India. The Kaza Petrol station is the only station in the valley and is run by the Indian Oil Corporation Limited, a government undertaking. It's the only petrol pump in the valley providing petrol and diesel to the local people as well as to the tourist vehicles. In peak tourist season of summers there is a cap on how much fuel can be given to the vehicles according to their types. The road is flat and is a relief as compared to the bumpy Himalayan roads.

Kaza is a small town in the Lahaul-Spiti district, overlooked by high mountain ranges on both sides. The Spiti river runs from the North- West to the Southeast side of the town, where lots of small hotels, restaurants and homestays play host to thousands of tourists, trekkers and adventure enthusiasts. The town also has a huge market which sells a variety of Tibetan and Buddhist handicrafts. Kaza is the ideal place to set up as a base to start off one's adventure in the Trans Himalayas.
