Small Faces were originally a British rhythm and blues band with a heavy mod following. They were later heavily praised and regarded as an influential psychedelic group with songs such as "Here Come the Nice", "Itchycoo Park" and "Lazy Sunday". Formed in early 1965, the group originally included guitarist and lead singer Steve Marriott, bassist Ronnie Lane, keyboardist and guitarist Jimmy Winston and drummer Kenney Jones.

Kenneth Thomas Jones (born 16 September 1948 and the only member of the Small Face still alive in 2021) is an English drummer best known for his work in the groups Small Faces, Faces, and The Who. Having previously been in a band with Ronnie Lane, Jones was one of the founding members of the English rock group Small Faces. In November 1978, Jones was invited by guitarist Pete Townshend and manager Bill Curbishley to join The Who, replacing their original drummer Keith Moon, who had died of a drug overdose in September. Jones was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012 as a member of Small Faces/Faces.

Steve Marriott died in a house fire on 20 April 1991. Ronnie Lane succumbed to pneumonia, in the final stages of his progressive multiple sclerosis on 4 June 1997. Jimmy Winston died on 26 September 2020, cause of death unknown.
