As a medical expert, once again Carol Whites is wrong! There are two main lobes in the liver and they're divided into eight lobules each, so none of her choices were correct!

Bad The Human Liver has two lobes, each divided into eight sections. How did this question get through? Someone needs to fact check Wikipedia. They are known for getting it wrong.

AND THIS IS WHAT WIKIPEDIA HAS TO SAY: The liver is divided grossly into four parts or lobes. The four lobes are the right lobe, the left lobe, the caudate lobe, and the quadrate lobe. Seen from the front – the diaphragmatic surface the liver is divided into two lobes the right lobe, and the left lobe. Viewed from the underside – the visceral surface, the other two smaller lobes the caudate lobe, and the quadrate lobe are also visible.[1] The two smaller lobes, the caudate lobe and the quadrate lobe are known as superficial or accessory lobes and both are located on the underside of the right lobe.[2] The falciform ligament, visible on the front of the liver, makes a superficial division of the right and left lobes of the liver. Dodgy question . I went for two because the other numbers didnt work . There are two main lobes. Your answer doesn't explain further subdivision and you didn't justify your choice of 2

I am so frustrated by this author's consistently false, misleading or overly simplistic questions. The question refers to lobes, of which they are two. How those two lobes may be further segmented is not germane to the basic question.

The liver consists of 2 main lobes. Both are made up of 8 segments that consist of 1,000 lobules (small lobes). These lobules are connected to small ducts (tubes) that connect with larger ducts to form the common hepatic duct.
