How many official "Harry Potter" books are there as of 2021?
J.K. Rowling's popular "Harry Potter" series has a total of seven books:
Released in 1997, "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" was the first book in the series. In 1998, Rowling released the second book, "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets". The series then received books three and four in 1999 and 2000. The largest book, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" was released three years after the previous one. "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" was released in 2005. Finally, "Harry Potter and the Dealthy Hallows" was released in 2007. Today, it is the only book in the series that has its movie in two parts.
