How many presidential elections did Franklin Delano Roosevelt win?
During hard times of the Great Depression, this outstanding person was one of those determined politicians who managed to keep self-control and ruled the country with a rod of iron. He showed some spine when it was really necessary for his country. Even Joseph Stalin admitted that he was the man of strong spirit and resolution. People will always remember him as the Man who was able to lead his country out of recession and to make it a superpower.
What are your thoughts on this subject?

The question is how many did he win not how many did he serve

Gary Johns if he was elected for a 4th term wouldn't have died after starting 4th term not shortly after starting his 3rd term? I don't think American citizens at that time would have elected a dead guy as president.

Well kids, in the late 1930s I lived with an aunt in Washington DC. (I was 8 or 9) She worked for "Madam Perkins". Aunt Orba took me to the Mellon Art Gallery, the zoo, the botanical gardens etc. AND the third inauguration of FDR. I remember being dressed up and very excited. I also got to go to the Easter "egg rolling" on the lawn. In retrospect, I'm lucky to have had an aunt that exposed me to history in the making at an early age. I still love it.

gudehus, the question makes nothing bit sense. The terms weren’t brought up in the question, but, rather, in the comments. It asked how many presidential elections he won, nothing more. There’s no ambiguity or qualifiers needed for that to be 4.

for non-Americans, it would help if the explanation were more specific by at least giving dates of FDR's presidency, the Great Depression, exacerbated by some of his policies, especially in the Dust Bowl, and WW2.

For anyone who didn't know, an amendment to the constitution now limits a president to two elected terms. One who assumes office after another dies or resigns can serve no more than 10 years total.

the second world war and defense spending pulled us out of the depression. He did start the REA (rural electrical association). I was in first grade in 1939 and remember my mother saying the electrician was hooking up the power that day. No more cleaning chimneys. Hurray. I hated that job.

He became a tyrannical man, demanding all things be done his way Or not at all. He tried to empliment socialistic policies that would have stretched the Depression far beyond what should have been. Thus is why congress and the American public decided to put a two term limit on our president. Now we need to do the same thing with our Congress members.
