How many bridges for motor vehicle transport cross the Suez Canal?
There is only one bridge crossing the Canal but it could be certainly referred to as the "great" one. Its main aim is to link the two largest continents (Eurasia and Africa). It was built with the help of the Japanese government. The Japanese invested more than 13 billion yen in the project.
The bridge was opened in 2001. Its length is about 2.4 mi.
What are your thoughts on this subject?

I crossed the Suez Canal west to east in 1985 while riding on a bus. But we were transported across on a ferry.

Good question although the answer seems to be controversial ranging from zero (for anything other than railway traffic) to two (for road traffic). Guess I’ll have to research it myself. I thought the accuracy of the answer was supposed to be vetted before approval. Is it zero, one or two?

There have been two bridges over the canal since 2003 that you can drive across at any time. There is a third bridge at the canal's far north end, but it isn't recommended since it must close to allow boats through.
