In the northern celestial hemisphere, which constellation appears in a figuration of two fish?

‘Pisces’ is the Latin word for ‘fish’ (plural), one of the constellations of the zodiac. It is viewed in most European cultures per ancient Greco-Roman culture as a distant pair of fishes connected by one cord each that are joined at an apex. This constellation appears in the Northern celestial hemisphere.

It is best viewed with the naked eye at latitudes between +90 degrees and -65 degrees at 21:00 (9 p.m.) during the month of November.

Pisces is associated with the Greek legend that Aphrodite and her son Eros either shape-shifted into forms of fish to escape, or were rescued by two fish. In the Greek version, Aphrodite and Eros where visiting Syria and had to flee from the monster Typhon, by leaping into the Euphrates River and transforming into fish.

The Roman variant of the story has Venus and Cupid, their counterparts, carried away from this danger on the backs of two fishes.
