In what year did Elmo Lincoln first portray Tarzan?

Lincoln is best known in his silent movie role as the first Tarzan in 1918's Tarzan of the Apes as an adult (Gordon Griffith played him as a child in the same movie). He portrayed the character twice more—in The Romance of Tarzan (also 1918) and in the 1921 serial The Adventures of Tarzan.

I have corrected this question multiple times trying to get it accepted....that's why it seems so familiar. THIS IS NOT A REPEATED QUESTION IT HAS NOT SEEN GAME PLAY. No one even remembers Elmo.

Put me in coach i haven't seen any play yet!

I have quite a few movie related books in my collection, including Tarzan related, so I knew the answer.

I remember Elmo, even tho I did not see any of his movies, I knew of him in High School in the 1960's.

Of course I've never seen his movies, but judging by the picture, Elmo looked more like I'd imagine Tarzan would have looked living in the African jungles
