In which Australian state or province is the 'Augusta Highway'?

The 'Augusta Highway' is the part of Australia's ring route (Highway 1) located in South Australia between the townships of Port Wakefield and Port Augusta.

It was named 'Augusta Highway' in 2011, and was formerly known simply as 'Highway One' and also as the 'Princes Highway', despite not being continuous to the 'Princes Highway' in the southeast of the state.

Port Augusta is a small city in South Australia. Formerly a seaport, it is now a road traffic and railway junction city mainly located on the east coast of the Spencer Gulf immediately south of the gulf's head and about 322 kilometres (200 mi) north of the state capital, Adelaide. The suburb of Port Augusta West is located on the west side of the gulf on the Eyre Peninsula. Other major industries included, up until the mid-2010s, electricity generation. At June 2015, the estimated urban population was 14,214.

Australia's Highway 1 is a network of highways that circumnavigate the country, joining all mainland state capitals. At a total length of approximately 14,500 km (9,000 mi) it is the longest national highway in the world, surpassing the Trans-Siberian Highway (over 11,000 km or 6,800 mi) and the Trans-Canada Highway (8,030 km or 4,990 mi). A part of the highway network is traversed by over a million people every day.

Christopher Skinner, that only applies in the United Kingdom, not elsewhere in the Commonwealth. There are a large numbers of cities in Australia without a cathedral. All Australian Capital Cities for example are comprised of a grouping of smaller cities.

The main Highway (Highway or Motorway one) is called the Stuart Highway in the NT and stretches from the Capital City (which has 2 Cathedrals) Darwin in the tropical North, to the NT (Northern Territory) SA (South Australia) border south of the township (little more than a Village) of Erldunda, to the South of Alice Springs and the North of Kulgera. The road from the NT Border to Port Augusta (the Augusta Highway) has been macadamised since 1979. Prior to the that it was a Gravel/Stone road.It passes through the town of Coober Pedy where Opals are mined and passes Woomera, named for spear in Indigenous language, which is where the British fired Rockets from in the 50s and 60s.
