In which country was the multinational electronics company LG Electronics founded?

LG Electronics Inc. is a South Korean multinational electronics company headquartered in Yeouido-dong, Seoul, South Korea. LG Electronics is a part of the LG Corporation.

In 1958, LG Electronics was founded as "GoldStar". It was established in the aftermath of the Korean War to provide the rebuilding nation with domestically-produced consumer electronics and home appliances. "GoldStar" merged with Lucky Chemical and LS Cable on 28 February 1995, changing the corporate name to Lucky-Goldstar and then finally to LG Electronics.

LG Electronics' products include televisions, home theater systems, refrigerators, washing machines, computer monitors, wearable devices, solar modules, smart appliances and, formerly, smartphones.

On 5 April 2021, LG announced its withdrawal from the phone manufacturing industry after continuous loss in the market. In 2020, LG faced a loss of 5 trillion won (US$4.4 billion).

The company also associates the letters LG with the company's tagline "Life's Good". Since 2009, LG has owned the domain name LG.com.

LG stands for Lucky Goldstar, not Life is Good as many people think. When my LG washer breaks down, life isn't good!

To the person who thumbed down my previous comment, this is fact. In 1995, Korean appliance and home electronics brand, Lucky Goldstar, became LG with the slogan, Life's Good. Do some research!

I have an LG T.V. & it works great & I use a Samsung Smart Phone which works great too & they are both from South Korea. Idk that L.G. stood for Lucky Goldstar & I thought it was made in Japan.
