The 2019 European Athletics U23 Championships was the 12th edition of the biennial athletics competition between European athletes under the age of twenty-three. It was held in Gävle, Sweden from the 11th to 14 July 2019.

This year, 1039 athletes from 50 nations competed in 44 events of track and field.

The overall winner with the highest medal tally of 21 medals was Germany, followed by Poland with 12 medals, and in third place was France. The host nation Sweden, finished in 12th place.

The host city for the proposed 2021 European Athletics U23 Championships is Bergen, Norway.
