In which sport did Kyrie Irving become famous?
Kyrie Andrew Irving (born March 23, 1992) is an American professional basketball player for the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). A seven-time All-Star and three-time member of the All-NBA Team, he won an NBA championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers ( American professional basketball team) in 2016.
Outside of competing, Irving is an enrolled member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and is an active philanthropist to his Lakota people on the reservation.
Starting with the 2016–17 season, Irving moved to more of a plant-based diet.

The awards that he has won back up his claim to fame, but I've never heard of him (maybe I live on the wrong coast). I chose him because he looked like a basketball player.

He is obviously well known in the US of A but never heard of him here. Pretty obvious choice though.
