International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against ... is observed on the 25th of November
Have you ever heard about such a day? We think that everyone should know that the premise of the event is to raise awareness of the fact that women around the world are subject to rape, domestic violence and other forms of violence.
Historically, the international observance is based on date of the 1960 assassination of the three Mirabal sisters who were Dominican political activists. In 1981 the date was marked as a day to combat violence against women more broadly.

Funny I did Bail Bonds for some years and I did a lot of bails for domestic abuse and there was not one time that the women did not say it was her way of exerting her power so in reality out of all the bonds I wrote for domestic abuse not one was a true domestic abuse case just a show of using the law to exert power .

Personally, if a woman is in an abusive relationship. She shouldn't believe the hype that her "significant other" won't act out on her again in beating her. The best thing she can do is get herself & children, if they are involved, out of that situation immediately. The most important thing is to never blame herself for his actions. It will simply cloud her judgement in leaving him & eventually, will lead to death in most cases.
