Victoria Palace Theatre is located on Victoria Street, just moments away from Victoria tube and railway station. If you exit outside the main entrance to the station, you will see the theatre directly opposite you. Victoria tube station is on the District, Circle and Victoria lines.

Victoria Palace Theatre was designed by Frank Matcham and opened in 1911 on the site of two music hall buildings that were previously demolished. Ideally situated directly opposite Victoria rail and tube station, it quickly gained a reputation for hosting variety shows and musical revues from its opening through the 1950’s and 60’s, including The Black and White Minstrel Show, which ran for over a decade in the 1960’s. It’s hosted a number of important productions over the years, including Me and My Girl in 1937, Elizabeth Taylor’s London stage debut in The Little Foxes in 1982, the UK premiere of Annie in 1978, and more recently Fame, from 2000-2001.
