Middle children get less attention
April 10 - Siblings Day (United States)
The stereotype is true. When you're the middle child, you get less attention from your parents than the older or younger children. To make up for this, middle children typically have lots of friends and connections outside of the family. Source

They still got more attention than you. They had secret gatherings that you weren't aware of.

I am a middle child. So is my wife. I based my answer on our experience--true!

VERY true. I'm a middle child. I was always too young to do what my brother did and too old to do what my sister did so I just got left out.

Those who disagree based on their own experience: Please understand that your experience is simply "anecdotal" and does not prove or disprove the point. If your own situation was different than the quiz, lucky you. But for you to disagree with the findings, you would need to survey hundreds of families and then draw conclusions based on that survey. Anecdotal or personal experiences do not disprove something.

I have a twin brother, we are the youngest of six siblings, but our middle brother was treated the best, of course I was still spoiled because I was the only girl.

I was not surprised by the answer, now looking at my middle sister I can see it maybe being true we all have different takes on the same life events, she has grown to be a very well rounded person if I do say so myself much more so than myself who was the baby for nine years and was a brat!

I'm a middle child... Despite being a twin, I still fell victim to this stereotype.

I am a middle child of 8 and I felt like I didn't get as much attention as my younger and older siblings. Don't misunderstand....my parents were phenomenal. My younger siblings needed more guidance and my older siblings were approaching adolescence so they definitely needed to be watched. I always felt loved though.I sat back and watched a lot. Now I'm a mother with 2 children and 3 grandchildren and I thank God that my parents gave me the love and care that they did.

I have 5 they all get attention at different times. My middle one is a drama queen. She gets as much attention as her sisters. Sometimes more. It depends on the family.

I'm a middle child, and I KNOW who got the most attention, and that was me. So maybe you better re-figure the answer to this question!
