The Kopa Trophy is an association football (soccer) award presented to the best performing player under the age of 21. It is organised by 'France Football' sports magazine.

The award is named after former French footballer Raymond Kopa and the winner is selected by former Ballon d'Or winners. Unlike the Golden Boy award, the Kopa Trophy is also open to those who play outside of Europe.

France national football team forward Kylian Mbappe won the first Kopa Trophy in 2018 after helping Les Blues clinch the FIFA World Cup that year.

Introduced in 2018, Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe won the first Kopa Trophy after he helped France clinch the FIFA ('Fédération Internationale de Football Association' - International Federation of Association Football) World Cup that year. USA star footballer Christian Pulisic came second while Justin Kluivert, son of former Dutch football team striker Patrick Kluivert, was third.

Meanwhile, Netherlands defender Matthijs De Ligt was named the Kopa Trophy winner in 2019 while England forward Jadon Sancho was adjudged second and Portugal rising star João Félix came third.

Just like the Ballon d’Or, the Kopa Trophy had to be cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
