Alton Glenn Miller was an American big band musician and composer in the swing era. He is considered one of the most talented musicians of the 20th century. He is also recognized as the best-selling recording artist from 1939 to 1943, leading one of the best known big bands (Glenn Miller Orchestra).

Aged 40, Glenn Miller went missing on the 15th of December, 1944. He was traveling to entertain U.S. troops in France during WWII and his aircraft disappeared in bad weather over the English Channel.
