The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics was formed on the 30th of December, 1922

USSR or the Soviet Union was a Marxist-Leninist state that existed between 1922 and 1991. It was a union of multiple Soviet republics, however its government and economy were centralized. The state was governed by the Communist Party.

The history of the Soviet Union dates back to 1917 during the October Revolution. The Tsar of Russia was deposed.

Travers Alvirez, You did say you wanted to "exterminate" communists. And Eugene Wilson, as misguided as he may be, equated communitsts and socialists. I think you are both despicable for your political views and intolerance to others. And, yes I am a Canadian. And, even thought not socialist, we have adopted some excellent socialist values - like universal health care (and like almost every country in the free world). You could learn a lot from other countries if you opened your eyes.
