jaime alzate, She was always officially, Diana, Princess of Wales. If you ever called her Princess Diana, it was you who was in error. Her official title was NEVER Princess Diana, because she was not BORN into royalty. Her other titles were titles of nobility, which are not the same as royalty.

I am an American. I never called her Duchess of anything. Sorry. I always called her Princess Diana. I was always impressed with her and thought she always did the right thing. Beautiful Woman, inside and out. So sad her life was so short. Not fair. RIP Princess Diana.

Wayne Power, Yes she was a Counters twice and a Duchess. She was Princess of Wales as long as she was married to the Prince if Wales. She herself was never a Princess in a direct line as are Princess Anne and Princess Charlotte. HRH the Duchess of Cornwall is now the legitimate holder of all of the titles. Her titles being the female counterparts to all of the titles of her husband, Prince Charles.

Chriss Crockford, tbear, Wonderful lady sadly missed. R.I.P. Chriss and all Lady Di worshipers: I watched an interview with Diana on TV and she was not as saintly as you believe she was. She was a nice woman. That is true. However, the flaw that she freely disclosed during the interview was prejudice. Which surprised me considering her dating her dating practices. I did not watch the entire interview. I was put off by what she said since it was stated right after showing her interacting pleasantly with black children at some foreign location. This is not a believe it not fact. I am telling you what I saw and heard from Diana's mouth herself.

Well, the comments have been educational. I went with the media in the U.S. always referring to her as Princess Diana. What did I know? I am not a Brit and don't have the proper upbringing to know what's proper there. I know now. Thank you all very much.
